My name is John Storer and I am director of
operations for Contemporary Services Corporation ("CSC"), a security
company that does events such as the U.S. open.
I joined the business center in May to prepare for the U.S. Open matches
in late August. My decision to join the
E888 Business Center has been crucial in making my business operations run
smoothly and professionally. While the US Open consistently ranks as the
most-attended sporting event in the world, the 2009 tournament was experienced
by more fans on-site, on television, and online than ever before. This year’s
Open drew an all-time record attendance of 721,059 fans and spanned throughout
three weeks of tennis activity including practice sessions, qualification
matches, and the actual tournament play. In spite of the short timeline, CSC
was able to recruit and staff an average daily call of more than 300 personnel,
including security officers for various roles such as executive/VIP protection,
player escorts, on-court protection, anti-doping teams, and other critical
security positions. In the past, we operated out of a
storefront. On average we employ around
1200 employees for an event and operating out of a storefront made it difficult
to do administrative work. Our company
was in need of a professional work environment. The Business Center has provided us with an
environment to support our administrative staff activities. The Business Center staff gives our business
the professional and supportive component that we have been missing for our
previous events. The Business Center
conference rooms and IT services make our business run smoothly and
efficiently. I recommend the Business Center to any
company looking for a professional and convenient workplace too help assist in
daily administrative operations. I am
definitely coming back to the Business Center for the next U.S. Open!
